Our Contentious Probate Team are able to deal with all aspects of contentious wills, trusts, and probate litigation including acting for personal representatives of Estates, beneficiaries for and against Estates, and Claimants in Inheritance Act proceedings. We have considerable experience of assisting parties in disputed matters to reach early settlement of any claim to avoid substantial costs being incurred and personal issues aired in Court proceedings.
We work closely when necessary with our specialist non-contentious Tax and Estate Planning Department to give advice and to conduct and defend proceedings including Inheritance Act Claims, proving the validity of wills, setting aside and disputing wills, Court of Protection statutory will applications, issues as to mental capacity, and for the appointment and removal of personal representatives and trustees.
