Kim’s IP work covers copyright, brand protection including trade mark and design registrations, patents and confidential information. She has a special interest in advising on e-commerce and Internet issues including domain name protection strategies. She has extensive experience in the commercial aspects of intellectual property work and has a very practical approach to the identification and protection, compliance, licensing and exploitation of IP rights.
Her IT practice includes advice on software and website development, outsourcing, licensing and exploitation of digital content and data. Dealing with data protection compliance advice, particularly online data protection, is a growing area of work.
The clients Kim works with include technology start-ups and joint ventures, digital service providers, advertising and marketing agencies, precision engineers and manufacturers, design consultants, multi-national companies and public bodies.
