David is an LLP Partner and the head of department for Tax & Estate Planning.  His areas of work include inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning for individuals and the preparation of Wills and Trusts, either to achieve the tax planning or for other succession reasons.

One of his specialisms is tax planning for owners and managers of businesses and companies, who may be eligible for specific tax reliefs from inheritance tax and capital gains tax in respect of their business interests.  This often involves a reorganisation of shareholdings in a company and David works with our Company/Commercial Department to ensure that company taxes and stamp duties are minimised or eliminated in achieving the new structure.

As well as being a solicitor, David is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
