James is an LLP Partner in the Commercial Property Department, where he is involved in planning and construction. James' specialism is commercial development work with particular emphasis on infrastructure and planning agreements, building contracts of all types, collateral warranties and guarantees and bonds relating to construction. James has acted for a number of organisations operating, constructing and developing marinas in England and Wales.

James is a director of the New Forest Enterprise Centre in Rushington Southampton.
