This remains an active part of the residential property market - we act for many clients purchasing second or additional residential properties often as part of their investment portfolio. This may coincide with the mortgaging or remortgaging of one or more residential properties and also working with our Tax & Estate Planning Department as to the overall structure and any tax election for capital gains tax purposes. The main value of Buy to Let properties we handle is in the £175,000-£500,000 range although during 2007 we acted on the purchase of a £2,400,000 Buy to Let property with an exchange of contracts achieved within less than two working days.
